Foreign Ministry: CN Willing to Work with US to Translate New Positioning of Bilateral Ties into Concrete Actions Moving in Same Direction

Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump held talks today (14th), and the two sides reached consensus on establishing a new positioning of a "constructive strategic stable relationship" between China and the US, providing strategic guidance for bilateral relations over the next three years and beyond, Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said.

Guo noted that "constructive strategic stability" should be positive stability centered on cooperation, sound stability with manageable competition, normalized stability with controllable differences, and enduring stability with prospects for peace.
